100 Years, 100 Photographs
The museum will reprise an outstanding photographic display first presented in 2004.
100 years 100 Photographs: Life Along the Tracks to Our Community.
With the help of the LA Endowment for the Humanities, this exhibit, which features black and white photos showing the development of our area with the arrival of the railroad, was so well done that it was also loaned to other museums and to Southeastern LA University. Vicki Knight was project director.
During the two month display, we will encourage the public to share their old photos to be copied so that the museum can continue to act as a photographic repository.
The History of our Wonderful Washington Parish Fair
This exhibit will feature a complete collection of the official Fair Posters from 1979 through 2018, photos from past fairs, advertising posters, documents. Souvenirs, daily programs, catalogs, honorees band much more.
A display of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and other Holidays celebrated during these months.
Antique decorations, toys, household items, china, angel, Santa and Nutcracker Collections will be features, as well as an old fashioned decorated Christmas tree.
