The annex is located behind the main museum and is available for rental anytime during the week and after 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. THERE IS TO BE NO ALCOHOL SERVED OR ON THE PREMISES
Club Meetings, Corporate Meetings, Private Meetings, Group Meetings, Baby Showers, Family Gatherings, Reunions,Adult Birthdays. Due to SEVERAL instances of DAMAGE we are no longer able to have Child Birthdays.
The annex has one 10 foot table and four 6 foot tables, and banquet chairs for 34 persons. We also have 5 folding chairs. There is a fridge, and microwave BUT NO OVEN or STOVE. We also have an assortment of tablecloths, chair covers, chair sashes and overlays for you to use free of any extra charge .
The cost to rent is $40.00 plus a $40.00 deposit. You will get the deposit back after the room has been determined to be cleaned with no damage. If the room is left a mess and/or damaged, you will lose your deposit and no longer be able to rent.
You may call to see if a date is open, HOWEVER, until you come into the museum and put down your deposit to hold the day , anyone may rent it. the museums number is 985.795.0680. We are only open on Saturday from 10 - 4 and Sunday from 1-4.
You do not have to pay for your rental until the day of the event, but you must pay before the event is allowed to begin.
WILL JUST CALLING RESERVE MY SPOT?
NO, you must come into the museum and pay your CASH deposit before we can reserve you day.
IF NEEDED, CAN I BRING EXTRA TABLES AND CHAIRS?
Yes, you may.
THE EVENT IS FOR ADULTS ONLY THAT ARE ALL OVER THE AGE OF 21. CAN WE BRING ALCOHOL?
NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. No Alcohol may be brought to or consumed on museum property.
AM I ALLOWED TO DECORATE FOR MY EVENT?
Certainly, however, DO NOT tack or nail anything to the walls. The annex must be returned to the condition it was in when you rented it. This means all decorations, etc. must be removed and all tables and chairs need to be set up like they were at the time you rented it.
DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF RULES?
Yes, when you come in with your deposit, you will sign a rental agreement and be given a list of rules and regulations for renting.
WHEN CAN I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?
If after inspection by a museum official, the room and outside area is considered clean and in order as required, the deposit will be refunded. You will be contacted upon completion of inspection. If the area is not left clean and in order, the museum will retain the deposit to have the cleaning done. Deposits will be returned via Mail. Deposits left after 30 days of the event will be considered a donation to the Museum.
Do I have a time limit?
Weekend events cannot be held until after 4 p.m. and not bejond 10 p.m. You have 6 hour rental which will include your time for decorations, party, and cleaniup. One person must arrive before 3:50 p.m. to take possession of the building and pay rental fee or confirm that rental fee has been paid. Museum personnel leaves at 4 p,m, promptly. You may stay as short or as long as you need to have a great event and clean after. Don't be rushed, be happy!
