Holiday Closures


D. A. Varnado Store Museum


  • The Museum will be CLOSED on the following weekends:

Please note all dates are subject to change


  • Mother's Day - May 10-11, 2025
  • Father's Day - June 14-15, 2025
  • Labor Day - September 30-31, 2025
  •  Washington Parish Fair - October 19-20, 2025
  • Thanksgiving. - Nov 27 - November 30, 2025
  •  Christmas Festival (held in the Fairgrounds Commercial Building) December 06-07, 2025
  • Christmas and New Year's holidays - we will be closed each weekend that follows.


Our Regular Hours Of Operation Are:


  • Saturdays: 10am to 4pm
  • Sundays: 1pm to 4pm
  • Private group tours are available upon request.  You may contact the museum during the hours of opening at 985-795-0680 to set up a day and time for your tour.




At present we are not under the Covid guidelines of wearing a mask. Should you prefer to wear a mask you are most definitely encouraged to do so, 

Hand sanitizer is available in the museum.
